Al Principio David Bisbal nacio el 5 de junio de 1979, en la ciudad de Almeria. Es el menor de tres hermanos y el unico que ha seguido una trayectoria artistica. | He studied up to the spanish qualification second BUP. After this his parents signed him up on a forestry course and he started to work in a garden centre. It was here he that his interest in music started. |

One day he heard that the Orquesta
Expresiones were looking for a singer, he auditioned and
they chose him. He sung at celebrations and festivities, going
from town to town with his band.
From the age of 18 David Bisbal toured for three years with Orquesta Expresiones, one of the best known groups in Andalucia up until his audition for Operacion Triunfo. En palabras de David "Llegue a segundo de BUP y me meti en Formacion Profesional. Estudie para guarda forestal y empece en una escuela aprendiendo el cuidado del monte y el trasplante de los grandes arboles. En Almeria hay mucho espacio protegido y hay conciencia de eso. Luego me contrato el Ayuntamiento, trabaje unos 10 meses y, como siempre estaba cantando, en la escuela, en el trabajo y en todas partes, vino una senora para ofrecerme una prueba en la orquesta Expresiones y ya deje lo de guardabosques" |

| David Bisbal enjoys sport and for a time was in a cycling team. He also likes football, fishing and darts. |

He auditioned for the reality show
"Operacion Triunfo" in it's first year (2001). He entered the academy with
15 others on the 22nd October. He got to the final of Operacion Triunfo and
was one of the winners alongside Rosa and David Bustamante. He won second place plus a recording contract with renowned Latin producer Kike Santander. Operacion Triunfo photos |
